oil on canvas, 16″ x 12″
The title translates to “the anguish of Medusa”. As this piece is a self-portrait, I’ve permitted myself a little translucent snail on the right, towards the top, as a tip of the hat to my more fragile, introverted side. In general, however, the piece is meant to convey crazed anger and frenzied torment caused by the beautiful but demonic serpents of one’s own imagination.
